- Learn all aspects of Sandringham's financial planning process and advice proposition. This will be a mixture of attending an adviser induction course and spending time with various teams within Sandringham.
- Assist the current CAD planners with client contact, day to day tasks and/or sourcing solutions using our Centralised Investment Proposition and with assistance from the Paraplanning team.
- With support from another planner, develop a professional approach to contacting clients on behalf of the team.
- Be shadowing financial advice meetings with other team members and will start to construct your own meeting structure.
- Conduct practice meetings to ensure you are comfortable and confident prior to taking over your first clients.
- Complete any additional qualifications needed for the role. All CAD financial planners are authorised to provide Independent advice in Pensions, Investments, Mortgages, Protection, Long Term Care and Equity Release.
- Manage the retiring IFA relationship including the handover and onboarding of clients.
- Service your clients by identifying, preparing and monitoring financial plans using cash flow modelling and our unique Annual Review packs.
- Source solutions for any shortfalls identified and ensure they meet the clients needs and objectives.
- Be confident meeting clients using video call software, telephone and in person. Where possible, most clients will be dealt with using remote solutions, however on occasions, you will have to travel to a location within the UK to complete F2F advice.
- Develop and maintain good client relationships.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with Paraplanning and Annual Review Services teams.
- Assist with training newer team members as well as contributing to the teams development and evolution.
- Liaise with the T&C department for regular KPI 121's and Certification requirements.
- Be organised, and able to plan your workload and diary around yours and your clients priorities.
- Have a desire, once settled. to continue your studies up to Chartered/Fellow level.

The Role: Independent Financial Planner
This role is an employed role within our expanding Central Advice Department (CAD) within Sandringham Financial Partners. Your role is to takeover and work with clients of IFA's who retire using our ground breaking Partner Retirement Program (PRP). You will be dealing with a wide range of clients with needs inclusive of Pensions, Investments, Mortgage, Protection, Later life products as well as estate planning.
You will spend the first 3 - 6 months shadowing an existing financial planner and teams within Sandringham to learn all aspects of the role as well as completing any additional qualifications needed.
Sandringham is a UK market leader in the provision of tailored independent advice and everything we do is designed to deliver the best outcomes for our clients. As such, you will be working with cash flow modelling software and our unique Annual Review client packs, to design and monitor financial plans for your clients.
You will also be fully supported by the in house Paraplanning and review services team.
To apply for the role, you will need your CII Level 4 diploma in regulated financial planning (or equivalent). It would be an advantage but not necessary to hold a Mortgage, Equity Release and Long Term Care qualifications, however these can be gained during your first 6 months in role.
