- With direction in the form of a SAFe stories and support from Architects or Product Owners or SME Project Engineers in the Industrial Design Organization support the introduction of new products through Design for initiatives and through the Manufacturing Design Specification in accordance with the RA Common Product Development (CPD) processes
- Works with Engineering Design and Manufacturing Engineering Built team to ensure optimum product and process design for manufacturability for a New Product Introduction
- Collaborates with development engineering to leverage Df(x) to obtain product cost.
- Supports development of manufacturing specification and validate against Digital twins
- Supports development of the associated documentation and estimates manufacturing cost
- Works on issues of medium scope where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Exercises judgement in supporting the selection of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree or education

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering
- Demonstrated understanding of New Product Introduction process
- Knowledge of Project Management
- Understanding and can demonstrate Design for Assembly, Cost and Automation on an NPI
- Knowledge of proven Manufacturing process and how to apply
- Lead Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
- Ability to execute transactions in an Enterprise Resource Planning system, preferably SAP.
- Exhibit good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Good written and verbal communications in English
- Proficient using Microsoft Office programs
- Works under general direction but must be able to be self-directed and can adjust to changes in priority and scope
- Apply engineering problem solving skills and within Rockwell Automation systems to perform duties and responsibilities
- Communicate well, both verbally and written form, to a broad audience of varying technical and cultural background
- Use facts and logic to influence others
- Contribute to development of group level goals and strategies for achieving those goals.
- Work concurrently on multiple NPI and non-NPI projects.
- Teach other Industrialization Engineers how to perform the work that is expected of them, the business processes that they participate in, and how to use the various tools (e.g. business system, computer programs, etc.) needed to complete their work.
- Support research, development and implement or cost reduction and process improvement projects. May lead a small team to complete these projects
- Ability to Support a Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) and collaborate to achieve product cost
- Basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies
- Works well with other and is able to think and act strategically when required
- Some travel is required (10% - 15%); possibly international.
- Ability to operate, respond, and work in multiple time zones as required
- Execute project work according to project schedules.
- Support the Design Execution of NPI and CE initiative to meet objectives around total product cost using Df(x) tools and consistent feedback early in the design process.
- When asked writing and /or validating Stores created to achieve these objectives and ensuring they are comprehensive and clear to the personal assigned the work.
- Supporting on time delivery of a comprehensive Manufacturing Design Specification to be carried out but the Industrialization Build team located in operations location

Job Description
Role Purpose:
Utilizing the SAFe Methodology, support the objectives for one or more NPI projects through the stories they are assigned. Support story level planning to programs assigned. These team members are required to have good knowledge of the product they are supporting gained through experience or time spend with their development counterparts. A Sr. Engineering actively engage with the team members working stories associated with the same objectives across the required ART(s) and aligning with their Product Owners priority and timeline. At times, these engineering will also work with ISC Integration Managers on small programs. They are responsible for supporting the creation of a comprehensive Manufacturing Design Specification based on the work they complete on Design for Assembly, Test and Automation analysis that will be carried out by the Build team.
