      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Review, analyze, and code inpatient and/or ambulatory surgery records utilizing coding guidelines
      - Query physicians for clarification of documentation when necessary
      - Participate in the documentation improvement process alongside Coding management and leadership
      - Meet or exceed coding productivity standards as per department policies
      - Ensure compliance with CMS and other regulatory compliance guidelines

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 2 years of inpatient/outpatient coding experience in an acute tertiary care hospital
      - Proficiency in the use of automated coding and DRG/AOC grouping software
      - Coding certificate, CCA, CCS (inpatient) or CCS-P (outpatient) certification preferred
      - Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in mentoring junior coding staff
      - Additional certifications related to coding or health information management
