      INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER
      Reporting to the Lead Instructional Designer, this role will design, build, edit, of high quality deliverables, using a variety of e-learning tools and methodologies. The instructional designer will build cross-functional relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders and SMEs to design and create appropriate learning solutions and experiences that are clearly aligned with business strategy and priorities.
      Position responsibilities
      • Lead instructional projects from early analysis to design, development, and implementation.
      • Create engaging compliance-based learning activities and compelling course content to be delivered online.
      • Work with organization stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify target audience's training needs and determine effective learning solutions that address knowledge and regulatory compliance requirements.
      • Set instructional and/or performance goals and develop content that supports these goals.
      • Devise and design instructional graphics, user interface and the finished instructional product or solution.
      • Analyze and apply trends and best practices in online learning technologies and instructional design.
      • Create exercises and activities that enable and enhance learning transfer.
      • Design supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, and job aids among others).
      • Devise assessment methods, such as interactions, surveys, tests, or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course.
      • Suggest best practices and improvements to enhance existing content, methodologies, tools, and templates.
      • Identify and recommend opportunities to support departmental mandates (e.g., leveraging learning technologies, supporting implementation of LMS, establishing learning/course standards, maintaining, and enhancing documentation and templates, etc.).
      • Other duties as assigned.


      Job Requirements:

      Qualifications and experience
      • Post-secondary accreditation in Adult Learning, Training & Development or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
      • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models, as well as lesson and curriculum planning skills.
      • Minimum 3 years' solid instructional design experience for eLearning programs. Please note that beyond technical writing, this position requires writing experience specifically focused on storyboard development for multimedia projects, instructional text, and audio and video scripts.
      • 3 years' applied knowledge of Articulate Storyline and Rise; adept at acquiring proficiency on new platforms and applications.
      • Excellent organizational, project and time management skills from project kickoff to close, including the ability to prioritize and multitask multiple team and individual projects.
      • Applied knowledge and experience with Moodle or similar LMS platforms.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Strong visual design skills (on any platform or software).
      Preferred Skills and Experience:
      • Knowledge of project management tools/software (Microsoft Project, Trello, etc.)
      • Experience within a regulated industry or professional association.
      • General understanding of the real estate industry and REBBA 2002
      • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, graphic design, and video editing tools
      • CTP or CTDP (IPL) designation an asset
