Master’s degree in Rhetoric and Composition, Writing Studies, Technical Communication and/or Professional Writing, Creative Nonfiction, Public Administration, English, or other related discipline.
Prior composition teaching experience with an emphasis on first-year students;
Experience teaching diverse populations of students;
Organizational, written, and oral communication skills;
Professional writing experience;
Online or hybrid experience.
Teaching in-person and online;
Work positively with faculty, staff, students, and the community;
Participate in department, university, and community service and governance including service on the department’s Composition Committee, as well as assessment and professional development;
Other duties as assigned.
Teaching experience in a college setting.
Ability to teach composition courses face-to-face and online;
Demonstrate a commitment to student retention and success.
