      This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the STRL Mission Support Direct Hire Authority. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered.

      Duties


      • You will serve as an electro-optical technical subject matter expert in support of Department of War programs and technical initiatives.
      • You will review and provide inputs to documentation in support of the acquisition of electro-optical systems.
      • You will perform research and analysis of electro-optical systems utilizing modeling and simulation tools and other resources.
      • You will support various projects within a dynamic team to meet performance, as well as cost and schedule requirements for the program(s).
      • You will collaborate with other electro-optical subject matter experts to share lessons learned and enhance the growth of the organization.
      • You will be required to support program efforts on-site at your duty station and occasionally travel to support on-site meetings with government/industry partners.

      Requirements


      • Must be a US Citizen.
      • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
      • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

      • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

      • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Test and Evaluation Level II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
      • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
