      Job Summary

      We are currently seeking one Summer 2026 Electrical Engineering intern at Millstone Power Station in Waterford, CT.
      This System Engineering role includes monitoring and support to the major Electrical Distribution and Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems needed for operation of a large electrical power generating plant.
      Control system examples include Main Turbine Controls, Feedwater system controls, and nuclear reactor controls including control rod drive and digital rod position indication. Electrical distribution includes 480VAC, 120VAC, 125VDC, and also large oil cooled power transformers
      Activities will include monitoring and trending of system performance, equipment inspections, evaluation of component performance, system walkdowns, corrective actions and component troubleshooting.

      Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

      Knowledge of basic electrical theories and principles is required.

      • Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired. Proficiency in MS Excel with Macros is preferred.
      • Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player.
      • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • Solid engineering skills, commensurate with grade level.
      • Good communication skills, technical writing skills, and computer skills.
      • An inquisitive nature, an ability to follow written and verbal directions, and strong professional ethics

      Education Requirements

      • Must be a student studying Electrical, I&C, Electrical and computer, or Nuclear Engineering with an electrical focus at an ABET accredited engineering program at a 4-year college or university
      • Must have a graduation date of 2028
      • Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
