      Inventory Control Specialist

      Inventory Control Specialist’s will perform various duties as assigned by the DC Manager to ensure the accuracy of the inventory within a distribution environment

      How You Will Fit In

      • Use computers to aid with inventory control functions
      • Become a subject matter expert in various warehousing systems
      • Conduct daily inventory cycle counts
      • Work closely with DC Manager to maintain accurate inventory levels and make adjustments
      • Research OS&D related items
      • Safely operate all equipment in accordance to company policies
      • Responsible for daily safety checks of equipment
      • Maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment in compliance with OSHA and company directives using safety first practices to remain accident-free
      • Model the Love’s core values of Focus on the Customer, Integrity, Strong Work Ethic, Innovative Thinking and Perseverance
      • Availability to work all shifts
      • Other tasks as assigned

      Typical Skills and Demands

      • Ability to learn and operate facility equipment including computers and forklifts, Perform mathematic functions such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide
      • Good verbal and written communication skills, leadership skills, strong work ethic, time management skills, organization skills, can-do attitude, and sense of urgency
      • Regularly required to talk and hear
      • Regularly standing and walking, with bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and working from elevated surfaces
      • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
      • Frequently lifting/moving over 75 lbs
      • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
      • Working in non-air conditioned warehouse environment

      Work Environment

      While performing these duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outdoor elements in all seasons. Occasionally, the employee will also be exposed to fumes and particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. While performing these duties, the employee may be exposed to dirt, dust, grime, grease, oil, gas, high-concentrated cleaning solutions, etc.
