- Gain an introduction or expand your skills into the areas of IS Vendor Management and Strategic Sourcing
- Opportunity to participate and learn as part of our Information Systems team and complete projects that are value added to the business such as:
- Assist in special projects such as analysis of and reporting on current organizational vendor landscape
- Analysis of contracts including business requirements and legal terms and conditions
- Study of annual spend and revenue forecasts
- Analyzing data
- Opportunity to influence negotiations with large, global IT vendors
- Report on existing agreements and confidential contract terms
- Interaction across various IS towers (applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity) and with senior leadership
- Willingness to promote academic, career and personal development
- Opportunity to provide and receive feedback
- Utilize problem solving skills
- Assists in special projects, as needed
- Maintain accurate and updated IS vendor records
- June 3-August 2, 2024; full-time, paid internship
- Prefer candidates at the junior, senior, or graduate student level pursuing a degree in Business Information Systems or Supply Chain Management or a similar major with strong communication and data analysis skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Interest in learning about healthcare information technology

- Pursuing undergraduate degree with a major in healthcare management, business administration, accounting, finance or human resources
- Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Prefer sophomore, junior or senior level
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint

This corporate Information Systems (IS) internship is integrating knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and developing your skills in a professional setting. This will give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in corporate healthcare human resources.

Additional information: this role will be in-person, full time at the Addison (International Plaza) location.
