Job Description
- Req#: R26_0001117|MY
- Execute Retail Establishment Survey (RES) Design, RES Validation, Universe Estimation, Universe Update and Panel Sample Design, as per the plan and with no quality escapes
- Provide ideas, Innovate and automate processes and tools to bring efficiency and eliminate legacy challenges
- Learn and utilize the global tools to ensure standardization of process
- Participate and contribute to the testing of tools and documentation of processes
- Automation and development of solutions for existing processes with supervision
- Engage and align with stakeholders on client queries and requirements of new estimates and designs
- Mandarin proficiency level required
- Proficiency in SQL
- Proficiency in Python
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large datasets
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative field
- Fresh graduates are welcome; no prior commercial experience required

Company Description
We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist to join our Data Operations team supporting the China Retail Measurement Services (RMS) business. This role focuses on building and maintaining the foundational datasets that power market insights delivered across NielsenIQ. You will work closely with our Shanghai‑based team to support data cleaning, validation, and preparation for core RMS deliverables.
