Employer is hiring a Remote Junior Software Engineer to support one of our government customers located in Southern Maryland at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Cameo System Model plugins to support system engineering team
- Collaborate with product owner to capture and prioritize user requirements
- Work closely with other developers to integrate plugin with other software systems
- Troubleshoot issues and provide training material for plugin users
- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited ABET school
- 1 year of related work experience
- Working knowledge of C, C++, C#, Java, and the Atlassian Tool Set
- Experience working in a DoD environment is highly desired
- Will support more senior level software developers with their supervision
Desired Requirements:
- Proficiency in Java or similar object-oriented programming language
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Knowledge of UML/SysML is a plus
- Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud computing platforms
Additional Information:
- An active DoD Secret Clearance or higher is required
- Must be a US Citizen
