      This is a generic posting for multiple remote sites in the area. We are working hard to transform the camp experience and create a warm, welcoming environment. We are looking for energetic, reliable, trustworthy, and passionate individuals to join our team and make our projects successful.

      Job Description

      Kitchen Support is a position that is critical to the success of the culinary team. General Helpers work a variety of shifts throughout the day or night and act as the fuel that keeps the kitchen running smoothly. General Helpers in the kitchen have broad job descriptions with various tasks to complete throughout the day based on their shift schedule and the time of day. General Helpers may work split shifts, night shifts, early mornings, and late nights, depending on the kitchen schedule. Kitchen Support usually work 11-12 hour shifts.

      Your work will include:

      • Assisting in the preparation of food items as required
      • Cleaning high touch point areas on a continual basis during meal services
      • Stocking Grab & Go fridges with sandwiches, salads, micro meals, drinks, and desserts in a timely manner
      • Clearing dirty dishes from the dining room and bringing them to the dish pit
      • Emptying garbage and recycling into communal containers
      • Responsible for bagging carrots, celery, meat, cheese, eggs, and other products as required
      • Working with the nighttime kitchen team to assist in wrapping of cookies or pastries
      • Working in the dish pit washing dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans
      • Other duties as assigned

      Qualifications

      WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

      • Camp experience considered an asset
      • Ability to stand for long periods of time
      • Ability to work in fast paced environments
      • Kitchen experience considered an asset
      • Good attitude and willingness to learn
      • Good oral communication skills and positive attitude
