      The Position

      As a Laboratory Supervisor for the R&D Services organization, you will ensure the safety, compliance, and smooth operations of Research and Development laboratories associated with the team. You will regulate and maintain the infrastructure of the labs to ensure necessary services are available to scientists.

      The Opportunity

      • Managing and overseeing designated laboratory areas, including general operations (orientation, use, access, supply replenishment, equipment, cleaning, and maintenance), regulatory compliance (documentation, temperature monitoring), and safety operations to ensure smooth lab functionality.
      • Enforcing safety and laboratory practices with the authority to deny lab access, impose re-orientation, or escalate issues to a user’s supervisor when necessary, while mediating conflicts among lab users.
      • Managing lab documentation to ensure compliance with Quality, Safety, and departmental standards, reviewing equipment documentation for compliance with Good Documentation Practices, and resolving any discrepancies with equipment users.
      • Acting as the primary contact with department scientific staff and cross-functionally with Calibration and Facilities teams to minimize project disruptions during equipment installation, calibration, and validation, as well as coordinating calibration, certification, relocation, and repair of existing equipment.
      • Developing and modifying processes related to Development Laboratory Management, such as writing or updating Guidance Documents and SOPs to streamline lab operations.
      • Managing staff by providing coaching, training, and skill development opportunities, while delivering ongoing, constructive, and timely feedback on performance and progress toward goals.
      • Performing other duties as assigned by management to meet operational goals and ensure efficient lab oversight.

      Who You Are

      • You hold a Bachelor's Degree in Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and bring 3 years Relevant industry experience
      • An equivalent combination of education and work-experience is allowed

      • Strong desire to work in a highly regulated environment, with diligent attention to detail to ensure the development laboratory areas meet regulatory, departmental, and safety requirements.
      • Willingness to take on new challenges, perform additional tasks when necessary, and work at other RSS sites if necessary to meet Research & Development needs and support business goals.

      The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Primary Location State is insert min and max of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
