      POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:

      Sort, separate, and clean up scrap metal. Run the bailing and shearing machines as needed. Weigh small scrap metal orders as needed.

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

      • Constant standing.
      • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
      • Ability to meet the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, as provided in detail in the Job Analysis Database.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

      • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
      • Ability to work well with other employees.
      • Ability to follow instructions.

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Experience with different types of scrap metal.

      MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

      • Sort, separate, and clean up scrap metal in the yard.
      • Run the bailing and shearing machines using metal and cardboard.
      • Weigh small scrap orders for customers.
      • Ensure a safe work environment and contribute to a highly engaging culture that fosters safety, continuous improvement, teamwork, and trust.
