- Manage end-to-end People-related matters for APAC region
- Provide exceptional support on Tier 1 and Tier 2 requests for APAC employees, including triage within People systems and in partnership with third party vendors. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with all employees, and refer complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate team.
- Help with local administration and drive adoption of core People programs such as performance management cycle, compensation cycle, promotions, talent reviews, and engagement programs within the region you support.
- Provide subject area expertise as a regional expert and voice of local employee’s to help develop a regional people operations and technology strategy for APAC, anticipating local trends and complex challenges and opportunities, and ensure integration with wider People Team mission and strategy.
- Partner with People Leadership and G&A partner teams in Finance, Legal, and Biz Ops to execute on the regional people operations and technology strategy, including developing localized People frameworks and tools, selecting and implementing new products and services, ensuring that these meet business needs, align with internal programs and practices, and reflect customs, norms, and regulations in the operating region you support.
- Partner with all APAC leaders to develop and implement effective People policies and practices, build professional credibility and mutual trust, and ensure all clients have access to high-quality advice and direction that supports business strategy and plans
- Create, analyze and interpret various types of employee reports (eg, compensation, job levels, and attrition) to guide decision-making, support business needs, and provide proactive solutions to client groups
- Create a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results
- Reports to the Sr. Mgr., People Tech & Operations, but with close relationships with all other Centers of Excellence including People Business Partners, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience, and Global Mobility & Compliance.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR, ideally within a global organization
- Proactive problem solver with the ability to critically evaluate the big picture of up and down stream impacts of possible solutions before deciding on a path forward
- Effective coaching and facilitation skills and ability to influence colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. This includes maintaining dotted line relationships with other People functions in the region to ensure seamless, integrated delivery of People services.
- Deeply empathetic and customer obsessed. Driven to work toward solutions that center high quality employee experience
- Solid understanding of employment law in APAC region, compensation, benefits, organizational development, employee relations, and training
- Independent self-starter, with the ability to effectively work collaboratively across disciplines, is essential
- Excellent project and program management skills with a proven ability to design and manage project-level work with minimal oversight
- Meet 1:1 with all APAC-based leadership within first three months
- Conduct needs assessment of current operational needs to meet local compliance and usability standards for the APAC region within the first six months.
- Contribute to the continuous analysis of the quality and competitiveness of localized Total Rewards and Employee Engagement programs to ensure their effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide support on ongoing APAC entity establishment plans + help ensure seamless transition of employees from Deel Contractors —> EOR in pre-selected countries in APAC
- Field all Tier 1 requests from APAC-based employees, as determined by Sr. Mgr., People Technology & Operations
