  Hangar 13 is an internal 2K development studio that creates influential AAA video game experiences across all major platforms. The studio is based in four locations around the world: Brighton (UK), Brno & Prague (Czech Republic) and across the US, working collaboratively as one team.   WHAT WE NEED

  We are looking for an experienced UX designer who will collaborate with Game Designers and cross-functional teams to develop high quality user flows for our games.

  WHAT YOU WILL DO

  Design

  • Ensure an overall high-quality level of UX design, pipeline and standards on a project and Studio level
  • Collaborate with Leads and Directors to define the overall vision, design and interface of our titles
  • Build documentation to communicate the vision, including but not limited to: research; persona designs; user journeys; wireframes; flow diagrams and prototypes
  • Take an iterative approach to development by working closely with the rest of the development team to improve the end user’s understanding of how to interact with the UI and improve the overall user experience
  • Coordinate with external groups both within and outside of 2K to put together usability testing that gives you the data you need to validate your decisions

  Leadership

  • Lead a team of designers to shape the experience of AI within the game
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to the team
  • Empower the team to deliver high quality work
  • Collaborate with Production to ensure delivery of features, systems and assets, on time and to required quality

  WHO WE THINK WILL BE A GOOD FIT

  • Proven experience in leadership topics and coaching individuals
  • Helped shipped at least one AAA game in a Senior UX Design role or above
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or 5
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Game Design or other related field

  SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Ability to drive prioritisation and scheduling of work for the whole department
  • Strong collaboration skills, able to work well with team members from other subject areas and in other locations
  • Strong documentation skills, proficiency with Wiki systems or Confluence is a plus
