      Description

      Marshall & Taylor is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable part-time Billing Assistant / Administrative Assistant to support our billing and administrative functions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure accuracy, organization, and efficiency in a fast-paced legal environment.

      This position is a part-time hybrid role, offering a combination of remote flexibility and in-office collaboration.

      Responsibilities
      • Assist the Billing Manager with weekly invoicing processes
      • Review attorney time entries for accuracy, including grammar, punctuation, and clarity
      • Support accounts receivable efforts, including follow-up on outstanding invoices
      • Process client payments and ensure proper application to accounts
      • Maintain and update the firm's case list with current account balance information
      • Assist with setting up new matters in Clio and verify the accuracy of data entry
      • Provide administrative support to the Billing Manager on ongoing projects and process improvements

      Qualifications
      • Prior experience in billing, accounting support, or administrative roles (law firm experience preferred)
      • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
      • Excellent written communication skills, particularly grammar and proofreading
      • Comfortable working with legal or billing software (experience with Clio is a plus)
      • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a remote/hybrid environment
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
