- Lead and coordinate with interdisciplinary subsystem teams to solve complex problems and deliver system solutions to meet requirements
- Design and integration of products, systems, and components with the customer platform
- Coordinate whole engine analyses including Structural System Design, Thermofluids, Controls & Monitoring, Platform Installation, and Integration
- Represents the product function to Rolls-Royce customers and provide technical support/analysis supporting product development.
- Progress system through gated reviews. Support or lead risk assessments, flight clearance reviews, safety reviews, product certification, test planning and technical audits from a functional aspect
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of related experience, OR
- A Masters degree in Engineering
- To be considered for this role you must be a US citizen
- Experience with utilizing Systems Engineering concepts through new product integration
- Experience with relational databases such as Cameo and/or DOORS
- Previous experience with analytical and modeling software such as ANSYS, JMP, NX, and Teamcenter
- Willingness to learn and apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to capture structural, behavioral, parametric and requirement aspects of the system.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment; willingness to accept responsibility and take initiative
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, take decisions and make recommendations with minimal data. Quickly quickly understand the key technical issues in potentially complex technical problems on unfamiliar subjects
- Ability to plan and coordinate assigned work with other groups and drive to finish assigned tasks on schedule

We’re looking for a System Design Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on flagship RR programs and play an important role in addressing some of the most complex and interesting technological challenges in Defense.
As a System Design and Integration (SDI) engineer you will have a sound knowledge of systems engineering and robust design tools and techniques. You will be responsible for and have knowledge in problem resolution, defining requirements, designing and integrating products, systems & product systems, performing technical analysis, verifying products, systems and components throughout the product lifecycle.
