      Trevor Day School is seeking full-time 1st and 2nd grade Associate Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year. Associate teachers assist head teachers in all aspects of students’ daily life and work with the head teacher to fulfill Trevor’s mission and educational philosophy and practices. Associate teachers will refine pedagogy and skills alongside their head teacher, their cohort of associates, and the administration. They will engage in ongoing professional development and targeted assignments designed to prepare them for becoming head teachers.

      Requirements:

      • Previous experience working with children at the preschool and/or elementary level.

      • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

      • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; enrollment in or completion of a master’s degree program preferred.

      Job responsibilities include:

      • Work closely with the head teacher to teach core subjects.

      • Help assess student progress and maintain records; assist in the writing of reports and updating of class webpages; attend family conferences.

      • Participate in weekly meetings and in professional development sessions.

      • Fulfill Trevor community responsibilities.

      Ideal candidates should possess:

      The full-time salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000 as per the school's salary scale. When extending an offer for employment, Trevor Day School bases the salary upon several factors that include (but are not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education, training, key skills, and peer salary equity. The school also offers a competitive benefits package.
