Located in Camp County, Texas, the critical access hospital was constructed in 2009 and features 25 private rooms with pastoral views 24-hour emergency department designated a Level IV trauma center and Level Ili stroke center; surgical suites; advanced diagnostic technology; sleep lab; swing bad care; 16 physician offices and a UT Health East Texas Olympic Center fitness and rehabilitation facility.

      In partnership with UT Health Science Center Tyler, Ardent Health Services operates UT Health East Texas system.       Responsibilities

      Under the direction of the CEO, the Radiology Manager will be responsible for staffing the diagnostic Imaging department as needed. The manager will directly supervise all Diagnostic Imaging technologists employed at UT Health Pittsburg. Daily scheduling of technologists, productivity and efficiency analysis of the department as required. Maintains compliance of all governing bodies to include The Texas Department of Health Services, JCAHO, etc. Ensures all technologists are properly trained and credentialed as required.

      Duties Include:

      • Organizes and documents all aspects of assigned patient care in coordination with physicians, nursing personnel, and other departments to ensure the accurate and timely performance of diagnostic procedures.
      • Creates technologist work schedules. Oversees the daily operations.
      • Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development by participating in educational activities to promote continuous improvement and compliance with patient care standards. Responsible for maintaining required continuing education
      • Performs required daily tasks to keep the hospital compliant with Texas Department of State Health
      • Services
      • Will be familiar with work flow and equipment
      • Plans, directs, and establishes department goals
      • Maintains interactive communication with patients and families and effectively addresses conflict and opportunities for improvement
      • Communicate with radiologists and other Imaging departments to expedite patient care
      • Hires and on-boards new radiologic technologists
      • Responsible for the orientation process of new clinical staff
      • Delegates tasks appropriately while maintaining accountability for outcome Works with Director to complete projects for the entire Imaging department Act on behalf of Director when Director is Out of Office
      • Other duties as assigned

      Qualifications

      Education and Experience:

      • Bachelors Degree in related field preferred; Masters Degree in Healthcare / Business Administration preferred.
      • Graduation from an accredited program in medical radiography, or radiologic sciences.
      • Minimum of 5 years experience in Radiology with at least two years in a lead/supervisory role is required.
      • Experience with Cardiac Imaging is a plus.

      Licenses and Certifications:

      • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board is required.
      • Licensed by the State of Texas as a Medical Radiologic Technologist is required.
      • Current BLS certification is required.
      • Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) credential through the AHRA preferred.
