Job Description
- Req#: MARIN001909
- Inspects and services of electrical equipment during overhaul to ensure safe operations and prevent future breakdowns.
- Track, schedule, and perform preventive maintenance on any electrical vessel system.
- Research and order parts for repairs while maintaining proper inventory to support emergency repairs.
- Complete service calls on vessels to make required repairs as needed.
- Work with maintenance crew, vendor, and vessel crew when needed to complete repairs such as electrical, plumbing, or mechanical repairs.
- Advises leadership and boat crew of technical information and electrical guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations.
- Document all work performed in the maintenance database.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- 5+ years marine electrical maintenance experience and repair of associated equipment
- Ability to acquire TWIC
- Ability to be on-call weekends and nights during assigned weeks
- Ability to occasionally travel overnight
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Prior towboat troubleshooting and repair experience
- Electrician Certification/License
- Experience working aboard boats
