      JOB SUMMARY

      The Marketing Executive for Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas supports the Director of Marketing in generating profitable revenue to increase RevPAR, market share, F&B Revenue and brand awareness by fully leveraging marketing programs at the property and market level, and by ensuring that marketing efforts are effectively directed to the consumer.

      he Marketing Executive supports the resort’s efforts to understand and apply consumer insights into resort marketing plans and deliverables, confirm that marketing activities are aligned with the resort’s marketing plan and need periods, assist to maximize the efficiency of resort marketing spend, and develop cooperative campaigns.

      The position also assists the Director of Marketing in ensuring the property programming is aligned with brand standards, brand voice and fully utilizes all available tools and resources.

      This role is responsible for supporting the hotel’s marketing strategies in alignment and collaboration with the Director of Marketing and the Marketing Manager (when/if these roles are active).

      The Marketing Executive also at times works with resorts’ Sales, Revenue, F&B and other operational department teams and joins the Director of Marketing in working with Field Marketing, Digital (MDS) teams and Marriott appointed and other agencies to ensure effective pull-through of plans.

      CANDIDATE PROFILE

      Education and Experience

      Required:

      • Successful completion of Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related degree from an accredited university and 2 years’ experience in the marketing, digital or related professional area; hospitality marketing or digital advertising experience preferred
      • Valid working rights in Australia
      • Strong customer service orientation essential; Takes initiative, anticipates needs
      • Proactive and collaborative
      • Ability to connect-the-dots, develop new ideas, approaches and solutions
      • Creative marketing mind with eye for detail
      • Self-motivated and able to work independently; a good team player; and thrives in a fast-paced environment
      • Excellent planning and communication skills

      Preferred:

      • Hospitality marketing or digital agency experience.
      • Desire to grow professionally with ongoing education.
      • F&B marketing experience a plus.
