Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
At least 4-6 years of experience in Marketing – Store Experience/Experiential/Events is a plus – you know what it takes to bring an experience to life, including how to work cross-functionally to deliver on your event objectives
Ability to navigate a large organization
Self-starter who can prioritize workload with the ability to multitask
Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, think critically, and communicate effectively, including the ability to clearly present concepts and ideas
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to be calm under pressure and think quickly on your feet to resolve issues that arise, especially leading up to an event and when necessary, on site
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to embrace ambiguity (even be energized by it!)
Ability to work well with process and procedure and help define when needed
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with partners
Strong sense of composition and design detail
Ability to travel when needed
Curiosity around learning new things, uncovering new opportunities and staying current with culture
Ability to do work in Microsoft Office 365, Slack and Zoom
The pay range is $67,600.00 - $121,700.00Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. A role with Target Store Experience Marketing means an opportunity to shape our guests’ holistic experience of our marketing content inside our stores. In this role, you’ll drive development of relevant, seasonal in store marketing events and activations that build the basket and deepen guest engagement. We see events as a critical marketing channel for showcasing Target’s relevancy and deepening guest engagement inside the store and this is an opportunity to help build it.
As Marketing Manager, Events & Activations, you’ll be responsible for planning seasonal events and activations that deliver on Target’s In Store Events and Activations program strategy. You will write clear and succinct event briefs by synthesizing a number of inputs (guest mindset, seasonal relevancy, trends, top business priorities, past learnings, competitive insights) and developing actional objectives. This role provides expertise and guidance to cross functional partners. You’ll evaluate creative against your briefs and ensure it meets project goals and objectives. You will manage reporting after each activation and analyze the data to build recommendations for future. You will collaborate across the organization and build strong working relationships inside and outside the organization, inclusive of agency partners, Target Creative, Roundel, Merchandising, Store Operations, Marketing & Digtal, RBX. This role is accountable to annual & monthly planning and forecast and ensuring department is maintaining safety, legal & patent guidelines and Target brand standard.
You will be a student of retail by regularly getting out in the market and assessing the competition and drawing your own conclusions. This role is perfect for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who loves to solve problems and gets their energy by seeing live experiences come to life.
