      Summary:

      The Master’s Degree Recruitment Specialist works as a vital member of the Graduate Recruitment and Admissions team. Reporting directly to the Director of Graduate Recruitment & Admissions, this individual is part of an energetic and innovative team of university professionals dedicated to providing concierge service to prospective adult graduate students. The Specialist develops and implements both face-to-face and virtual outreach strategies to recruit students for the University’s diverse array of Master’s-level academic programs.

      By cultivating strong professional relationships across the University and with external organizations, the Specialist enhances the prospect, applicant, and student enrollment experience to drive graduate enrollment growth.

      This position is 35 hours/week, with many hours expected to be in evenings and around lunch hours to best meet the needs of adult learners. Travel is also required and may occur over weekends.

      Core Responsibilities:

      - Strategic Recruitment: Develop and implement innovative ideas to recruit Master’s degree students in both face-to-face and virtual environments.

      - Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporations, government organizations, non-profits, and alumni to build a pipeline of graduate candidates.

      - Student Engagement: Respond to prospective graduate students via phone, e-mail, and mail, providing exceptional customer service and timely follow-up.

      - Events & Presentations: Attend recruitment events and deliver compelling presentations to prospective and admitted graduate students. These events frequently include evening and weekend activities, as well as webinars.

      - Collaboration: Work closely with the Graduate Recruitment and Admissions team to analyze enrollment trends and adjust recruitment strategies as necessary.

      - Financial Literacy: Maintain an understanding of FAFSA deadlines, graduate tuition options, and payment processes to accurately assist graduate students with their enrollment journey.

      Skills and Abilities:

      - Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to small and large groups.

      - Operational Independence: Ability to operate independently, exercising judgment and discretion with minimal guidance.

      - Travel & Physical: Must possess a valid driver’s license for required year-round daily travel. Must be able to lift and move 40 pounds for event setup.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      - An innovative professional with a proven history of success in higher education recruiting, sales, or marketing.

      - Extensive experience specifically within graduate student recruitment or student transfer operations.

      - Ability to quickly master the University’s graduate degree programs, academic policies, and organizational structures.

      Requirements:

      Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree preferred. Significant experience in Graduate recruiting may be substituted for educational qualifications as determined by the appointing authority.

      Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in higher education admissions, advising, or recruiting.
