      Gibela rail invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Material Planning and MRP Controller position. The role reports to the Material Scheduling Leader. The successful candidate will be based in Randjespark, Midrand.

      Purpose of the Job:

      To supply the project with materials and parts necessary to complete the maintenance of trains and projects and help achieve the customers expected OTIF.

      Minimum Requirements

      • Degree in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering.
      • 3 Years experience working in a maintenance environment.
      • Working knowledge of Material requirement planning and inventory control system.
      • Knowledge of store/warehouse management.
      • Supply Chain expertise, working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) with special regards to modules used for management of the Supply Chain.
      • MS Office literate: (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

      Responsibilities:

      • Execute TSSSA Material planning and Inventory strategies in coordination with Industrialization and Operations.
      • Define parts typology (based on ABC, variability, business type...etc) for defining planning tactics and to support Line replenishment.
      • Define and set-up MRP parameters to implement material planning strategies.
      • Participate in the Engineering Change committee – guarantee proper plan of material changes.
      • Analyze Inventory content for correcting planning strategies.
      • Support finance for inventory depreciation calculation.
      • Implement and manage improvement plan in regard of Inventory reduction.
      • Measure performance in material planning (material availability) and inventories.
