      The Materials Handler (MH) applies knowledge of systems, techniques, and underlying management concepts for determining, regulating, or controlling the level and flow of materials from initial plan through acquisition, storage, issue, and utilization. The MH will follow a defined logistical area in inventory control, replenishment and cycle counts to establish a coordinated lean supply support system that operates efficiently and meets the needs of the clinical areas within Holzer. Stocking and managing supply inventory levels in the supply chain areas. Maintaining adequate storeroom stock. Supporting departmental supply par levels and maintaining processes, polices and workflows to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment and delivery of orders. Conducting routine audits of inventory data and stocking. Proactively monitors, investigates, and resolves errors to prevent supply shortages, and stockouts. Controls the flow and accuracy of products being received into the facility and ensures adherence to all Federal, State regulations promoting a safe and efficient workflow. The MH is expected to develop and maintain a through and intimate knowledge of the proprietary Materials Management System.

      Education, Work Experience and Licensure:

      · HS Graduate or Equivalent required.

      · An Associate Degree in Business or related field with preferred with emphasis on process development and inventory control preferred.

      · A minimum of two to five years of experience in a hospital or multi-hospital, with major responsibilities in materials management, suitable other experience may be substituted in lieu of hospital experience.

      · Previous experience in dealing with the public, in using automated Materials Management handling system, implementation experience.
