UGL's maintenance business is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our Hunter Valley Maintenance Centre on Clyde Street in Hamilton North, Newcastle. This role will be offered on a permanent full-time basis, they will be working day shift on a 9-day fortnight Monday – Thursday 5.30am – 2.30pm, every second Friday off and the Friday you do work is 5.30am – 1.30pm. About the role Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role will see you working on a Locomotive maintenance, conducting general maintenance as well as servicing and general workshop duties as required. About You • Australian recognised trade certificate and hold a Certificate of Proficiency – Mechanical • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Reliable & punctual. • General rail and locomotive experience is desirable but not a necessity. • Commitment to a safe work environment and practices. • Ability to interpret schematics and production drawings. • Work autonomously and in a team environment. • Focused on quality work & customer service excellence. • Forklift license is desirable but not a necessity. • Work cover overhead crane licence desirable but not a necessity.
