      Medical Advisor – Rare Diseases

      The Medical Advisor is owner of the (sub) therapy area medical function, with active participation in the brand team from medical point of view (including strategy, tactics and projects). This person also works with selected KEEs (HCPs) of the dedicated TA utiliing and using his/her wide knowledge

      MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Provide professional medical support
      • Provide input to planned promotional activity (materials events, etc) in the frame of Brand Team
      • Prepare internal educational material for sales representatives and deliver medical training for the marketing and sales dept. staff
      • Prepare scientific overview materials for special topics when required
      • Provide input to Market Access Dept. before price/RB submissions
      • Perform medical review of TA-relevant materials/create and manage materials owned by medical dept. in his/her TA
      • Keep up-to date knowledge in relevant areas of clinical and theoretical medicine by continuously reviewing relevant literature, monitoring competitor’s activities, networking with experts and attending both local & international conferences
      • Develop and maintain a good partnership with KEEs within TA,
      • Gather insight from KEEs during field activity and reporting it to line manager and Brand team when relevant
      • Take active role in personal (F2F or virtual) consultations and advisory board meetings.
      • Organize and active participation in external medical activities: e.g. scientific exchange meetings, presentations at medical education events, own dedicated projects and brief speakers
      • Provide up to date and relevant Medical information to unsolicited request, using the actual – approved company system after Copyright clearance
      • Deliver the administrative requirements for the field activity, delivering the agreed field KPIs
      • Management of non-interventional, RWE studies and patient registries related to specific drugs, support Interventional studies
      • Take active role in Corporate Governance related activities contribution to embed integrity in the day to day business processes.

      ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

      • University degree (graduate level) in Medicine or Pharmacy
      • 3 years of experience in multinational pharmaceutical industry
      • Knowledge of relevant TA

      EXPERIENCE:

      • Insight into product development from discovery to product launch
      • Sound Experience in Medical Affairs
      • Preferably additional profession
      • Marketing/sales experience/knowledge
