Position Description:
The Institute for Health and Equity, Division of Epidemiology & Social Sciences and the Office of Global Health is seeking to hire a motivated, collaborative, innovative researcher with a proven record in funding and global partnerships. This person would also serve as the Assistant Director of the Masters in Global Health Equity program. The position would be an Assistant/Associate Professor commensurate with experience.
Primary responsibilities, as needed, will include: (i) building an independent, externally funded, research program; (ii) provide oversight of the Masters in Global Health Equity as assistant director along with teaching within the program ; (iii) act as a resource for additional educational, research, and/or community service activities as needed.
Candidates must have a PhD or foreign equivalent in epidemiology, public and community health, global health, or a closely related field. Experience in research, teaching, and service consistent with the mission of the Division of Epidemiology & Social Sciences is expected. Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate leadership and excellent communication skills and to demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusiveness.
The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) has approximately 1,600 full-time and part-time faculty. MCW has a long and illustrious history in biostatistical and translational research. Data science and clinical trial design are key strategic priorities at MCW. The Medical College offers medical, master’s, doctorates, master of public health and master of art degrees. The Medical College works with national and international medical specialty societies and community hospitals to accredit approximately 200 continuing medical education activities annually for physicians and other health professionals.
