  Position Summary
  The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for analyzing various chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests to provide physicians with pertinent information regarding the patient's health under the supervision of the Medical Technologist or Pathologist.
  Base Salary Starting At: $23.03
  Essential Functions
  • Collects specimens.
  • Performs specimen analysis and other tasks and procedures in hematology, urinalysis, serology and chemistry. May also performs tasks in blood banking and microbiology as appropriate.
  • Reports analysis results appropriately.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  Qualifications
  Education
  • Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field required.
  Experience
  • Two years of related hospital experience preferred.
  Credentials
  • Must be certified or registry eligible for certification with the ASCP and obtain
  certification within six (6) months of hire.
  • Must meet CLIA required personnel qualifications for High Complexity Testing
  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  telephone.
