Coordination of all cross-TA activities among French Medical Affairs Department
Improvement of Medical Affairs Department operational excellence
Improvement of Medical Affairs team competencies
Organize All Medical and Medical Leadership Team meetings
Contribute to establish annual Medical Department goals and their regular follow up
Coordinate cross-TA activities: calendar of events, org chart, budget follow up, Medical POA follow up
Promote best practice sharing between TAs
Create Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) dashboard for Medical Department and communicate them across Medical and cross functionally
Coordinate Patient Engagement at affiliate level in a cross-functional manner
Represents French Country Medical Director in certain cross-functional meetings at affiliate and global level, including Quality Committee lead by Regulatory Affairs, ComOps Committee lead by Commercial Operations
Ensure that French Medical Affairs Department operates efficiently at a high level of quality by facilitating training and endorsement of new tools and procedures developed by Global/ACE Medical Operations or by external providers if needed
Ensure that French Medical Affairs Department adheres to standards and processes by facilitating training and establishing internal audits in coordination with Compliance and Regulatory Affairs Departments
Analyze industry best practice to improve Medical team excellence
Facilitate interactions of Medical team with Clinical Operations and Development teams
Facilitate collaboration of Medical team with HCPs on research (ISR, RFP….)
Coordinate digital excellence in Medical Affairs in coordination with Global/ACE Medical Operations and Commercial Operations
Oversee training plan for Medical Department
Harmonize onboarding plans for all new Medical team member
Develop trainings on soft skills dedicated to different jobs within Medical Affairs: TA leads, MS leads, MPMs, MSs, Administrative Assistants, including HP2020+ program
Leverage medical team competencies on digital tools and e-health

Job DescriptionOverview and key accountabilities
This role will serve as a key support to the French Medical Affairs affiliate team and be immersed in strategic and operational analysis as well as take a lead role in driving large projects within Medical Department, giving deep insight and access to the organizational strategy and direction in partnership with other key cross-functional stakeholders.
Medical Operations Director France reports to Country Medical Director France and is a member of French Medical Leadership Team beside Therapeutic Area (TA) Medical Directors.

Capabilities:
Strong project management competencies
Ability to initiate and lead departmental or interdepartmental strategic initiatives
Must think critically and creatively and be able to work independently to determine appropriate resources for resolution of complex problems
Manage external collaboration project and all associated interactions (e.g. meetings, communications etc.) with the partner agencies and ensure agencies deliver projects in accordance to agreed timelines, scope, budget and compliance
Direct project communications to relevant team members and ensures that all stakeholders (internally and externally) are fully informed and knowledgeable of project activities and their status
Implement best-in-class project management processes and tools/templatesManage cross-functional initiatives/projects to enable advancement of sciences and improve alignment and efficiency
Knowledge:
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills, and ability to work with multifunctional teams
Possess a strong ability to build trust, along with demonstrated ability to drive, lead and influence colleagues across the organization to achieve team, department and corporate goals

Requirements:
Advanced life science degree: MD, PharmD or PhDStrong experience in Medical Affairs in different positions: field-based, office-based, management experience
Project management experienceEnglish fluent
Occasional travel to other company locations as requested.
