      Job summary

      South Axholme Practice has a vacancy for a part time Receptionist to provide high quality reception and administrative support to our doctors and health professionals.

      You must have excellent communication skills and be competent with IT in the workplace preferably with a receptionist/administrative/customer care background.

      Experience in a Primary Care setting is not essential.

      The days of work will be:

      • Monday - 8am - 7.00pm
      • Wednesday - 8am - 12.30pm
      • Thursday - 8am - 6.00pm

      You will be required to work across all five sites (Epworth, Belton, Owston Ferry, West Butterwick and Haxey) as and when necessary.

      The advert may close early depending on the volume of applications and previous applicants need not apply.

      Main duties of the job

      Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.

      Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.

      Work within a team of receptionist to provide an efficient reception service to patients;

      Deal with patients in a courteous and effective manner presenting a friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone;

      Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the efficient running of reception services including the provision clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team;

      Communicate effectively with patients, staff and other healthcare professionals.

      • GCSE (or equivalent) grade A to C in English and Maths

      Desirable

      • Medical Terminology certification

      • Be able to demonstrate ability to work without close supervision, using own initiative to significant level. Be able to demonstrate good understanding of teamwork and be able to positively contribute towards this.

      Desirable

      • Experience in a receptionist/administrative/customer facing role preferably within an NHS setting.
