      An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Radiology Department for an experienced Medical Secretary/PA

      The successful candidate must be flexible, forward thinking and proactive and require a commitment to ensure we provide a high quality service to our patients. This is a challenging role which requires excellent communication and empathy skills.

      The purpose of this job is to be responsible for providing a full secretarial and PA service to the Radiology Department.

      The role involves working for Consultant Radiologists and supervising junior secretarial/clerical staff.

      We have 2 vacancies available a full time 5 days (37.5 hours per week) and a part time 3 days (22.5 hours per week)

      Main duties of the job

      • Provide secretarial support to Consultant Radiologists
      • Ensure 2 Week Wait targets being met within the timescale
      • MDT prep and attendance to MDT meeting if required
      • Cancer/Urgent Pathway patients not being seen within specified timescale
      • Appointments to be made for relevant and complex modalities such as Breast Service, Lung Service and Interventional Service
      • Liaising between Radiology and other Clinical Staff/Departments
