Job Description

- To ensure timeliness and accuracy to meet turnaround time and that the daily test result is produced accurately and precisely.
- Effective implementation and maintenance of MS ISO/IEC 17025 as well as Group Quality System.
- Adhere to group HSE safety procedures.
- Ensure that the information from the clients is kept as strictly confidential and never revealed to the third party.
- Ensure compliance to testing and QA/QC procedures.
- Ensure all analytical equipment, apparatus etc are to be appropriately maintained and calibrated as per the required schedule.
- Ensure root-cause of all non-conformities or customer complaints are to be investigated and identified with appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- To participate in Proficiency Testing Program or Round Robin and ensuring accurate and precise results.
- To train, supervise and monitor lab technician with assigned test methods and procedures.
- To ensure all the standard methods are up to date or the latest version.
- To ensure all controlled quality procedures, test methods and document are kept confidentially and restricted within SGS premise.
- Ensure Good Housekeeping and Good Laboratory practice in the laboratory.
- Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by his/her superior.
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related field from recognized university/college.
- Minimum 1 year experience in relevant microbiological analytical laboratory however fresh graduates with right and positive attitude are acceptable as training will be provided.
- Experience in various testing methods especially food, water & pharmaceutical products.
- Good personality and able to cope with demanding and fast-paced working environment.
- Flexibility and able to meet demanding schedules, when required.
- Prior knowledge and experience in inventory management and purchasing is preferable.
- This position does not require travelling.
- Job location at Seksyen 22, Selangor, Malaysia.
- Willing to work on shift including weekends but still a 5-day working mode, rotate on monthly basis.
