- Supervisors staff to ensure the quality of work.
- Responsible for all regulatory compliance with: DPH, The Joint Commission, American College of Radiology, ARRT, OSHA and Radiation Safety.
- Maintains up-to-date policies and procedures.
- Interviews and makes recommendations for hiring quality staff according to Human Resource Policies.
- Schedules staff to ensure coverage of the work area.
- Determines the staffing needs, work methods and performance standards.
- Monitors the job performance of each employee, demonstrated by current observation and notes in the employee record.
- Completes all employee reports and records according to established timeframes.
- Performs all duties of a staff technologist as required and maintains competency in all areas of the department.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and special skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in radiology (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric).
- Check the quality control of materials and equipment to be used on a daily basis.
- Assists staff in developing goals and objectives for individual growth and development.
- Conducts competency evaluations to ensure continued proficiency of staff with regard to the special needs and behaviors of specific age groups.
- Evaluates new products and equipment to improve service. Submits budget requests by an established due date.
- Graduate of a recognized Radiologic Technology degree.
- Minimum of an Associate degree.
- ARRT R.T.(R) and/or MA DPH RT license
- Five years' appropriate skills in Imaging.
- Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel; ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all hospital personnel.

At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $50.70 to $76.06 hourly, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.
As the MRI Supervisor, you will work closely with imaging leadership, radiologists, and hospital clinical leaders to ensure quality and safe technical procedures in the MRI Department are completed as appropriate. Coordinates the daily workflow of the department and oversight of staff to accommodate diagnostic, interventional, and emergent examinations.
