Job summary
RELOCATION PACKAGE AVAILABLE
We require a highly skilled, highly motivated Physiotherapist to work in the East Cornwall locality as a Clinical Specialist/Advanced Practice Physiotherapist within our MSK Physiotherapy Outpatient Department and as a First Contact Practitioner (MSK) within GP surgeries.
The successful applicant will have advanced clinical reasoning skills and excellent communication skills. Working as a Clinical Specialist/Advanced Practice Physiotherapist the post holder will assess, diagnose and provide complex rehabilitation and treatment plans, organising investigations and acting on results as required. Working as a First Contact Practitioner the post holder will provide clinical expertise, and make decisions about the best course of action for patients' care (including in relation to undifferentiated conditions). This will involve seeing patients, without prior contact with their GP, in order to establish a rapid and accurate diagnosis and management plan, reducing the need for same day GP appointments.
The post holder(s) will be based at Liskeard Hospital. Full and part time positions are available.
Main duties of the job

The role will be supported by the National Competency Framework and each FCP will have access to the Countywide FCP network and peer support group. Additional professional development in line with the individual's needs will be available with shadowing, e-learning, relevant training courses/conference opportunities being supported.
