      Job Summary:

      Under limited supervision, the Consultant II is responsible for meeting with customers across the country to investigate, negotiate, and settle moderately complex property, vehicle damage (which may include automobiles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, recreational vehicles, and boats), or flood claims, when our customers are involved in a catastrophic event. The individual reviews the policy, determines loss coverage, inspects and assesses the property or vehicle damage, prepares or reviews a repair estimate for covered losses, and processes payment to customers.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Summarizes documents and enters into claim system notes

      • Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations, and decision-making process

      • Investigates, reviews, determines, and verifies moderately complex coverage/policy information

      • Handles inside investigation of mortgage claims

      • Reviews vehicle damage, takes photos, and determines reparability or total loss

      • Handles contents inventories, moderately complex pricing analysis, and mitigation bills, and prepares claims reports

      • Handles and occasionally negotiates claims that include Public Adjuster involvement

      • Occasionally conducts calibrations with vendors or staff

      • Occasionally conducts targeted file examining, including performing ride-along or sit-along

      • Proficient knowledge of all regional construction types and related repair methodologies

      Supervisory Responsibilities:

      This job does not have supervisory duties.

      Education and Experience:

      • 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

      • 2 or more years of experience (Required)

      • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

      Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

      • No Certification, License or Registration is required for the job.

      Functional Skills:

      • Applies broad knowledge of insurance policy, coverage, and regulation

      • Applies broad knowledge of claim processes, policies, procedures, claim systems, coverage, liability, damage estimating, and/or settlement, and adherence to applicable legal compliance standards

      • Applies broad knowledge of analytical procedures to reconcile, manipulate, and recognize patterns of data

      • Applies broad knowledge of standardized problem-solving and preparation of reports for analysis

      • Applies broad negotiation and/or arbitration skills

      • Applies broad conflict management and problem resolution skills in managing internal and external customer relationships

      Compensation offered for this role is $57,500.00-$94,625.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
