      1. High school diploma or equivalent. An evaluation of foreign high school diploma may be required.
      2. Three (3) years of experience in a professional photography and videography environment.
      3. Must demonstrate proficiency in digital photography and videography techniques, computerized photo processing, and the operation of related equipment.
      4. Experience using a variety of software programs is required, including Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom, or comparable video and multimedia production software.
      5. A digital portfolio demonstrating relevant work is required.
      6. Must possess strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
      7. Must possess and maintain throughout employment, a valid Florida driver license without any restrictions affecting job performance. Driver license must show current address. All candidates must submit with the application, a Certified Department of Motor Vehicles entire driving history.
        • Florida driving histories can be obtained at any courthouse in Broward County. Three year, 7 year, and online Florida driving history records will not be accepted.
        • If you have possessed a driver's license in any other state in the past 10 years you will need to submit an entire driving history from that state. For non-Florida driving histories, please contact that state's division of motor vehicles.
        • The search date for all driving histories must be within one month of the date the application for employment is received by the Bureau of Human Resources.

      8. An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Such experience must be clearly documented for consideration.
      Under administrative direction, the purpose of this position is to create, produce and manage multimedia content within the Community Affairs Division of the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Responsibilities include photography, videography, digital media production and post-production editing for internal and external agency purposes, including public information campaigns, training materials, events and digital communications. Work is performed with considerable independent judgment within established guidelines and is evaluated through the quality and effectiveness of completed projects. Performs related work as directed.The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification.       Photographs events, ceremonies, presentations and other assignments, including portrait and aerial photography, and processes, edits and archives images for agency use.

      Plans and produces multimedia projects from concept through final delivery, including photography, video, graphics, animations and interactive digital content.

      Determines image composition, camera angles, lighting and equipment selection to achieve desired visual outcomes.

      Captures, edits and assembles raw video and audio footage into finished products for agency communications, including training materials, public service announcements, marketing and social media content.

      Performs post-production tasks such as editing footage, applying graphics and effects, sound design, color correction and formatting content for various distribution platforms.

      Creates visual content for agency websites, social media platforms and digital campaigns.

      Coordinates pre-production and production activities, including consulting with internal clients, preparing equipment and setting up lighting and audio in studio or field environments.

      Utilizes studio and field lighting techniques to achieve technical and artistic quality standards.

      Collaborates with agency staff and subject matter experts to develop concepts, scripts and visual approaches for multimedia projects.

      Publishes, organizes and optimizes digital media on third-party platforms and social media channels.

      Maintains and organizes digital media assets, including managing photo and video libraries and ensuring appropriate backup and accessibility.

      Travels to various locations to conduct photo and video productions as directed.

      Maintains knowledge of emerging trends, technologies and best practices in multimedia production.

      Selects and assembles photographic, video and audio equipment appropriate for subject matter and environmental conditions.

      Operates, tracks and performs basic maintenance of multimedia equipment, materials and supplies.

      Ensures all multimedia content adheres to agency branding guidelines and quality standards.

      Provides on-call or on-site multimedia support as required.

      May operate an agency vehicle.

      Performs related duties as directed.

      Tasks involve the intermittent performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (5 to 20 pounds). Some tasks are performed in a shop environment where proper provisions are in place in terms of employee security and protection. Some tasks include working around moving parts, carts, and materials handling where physical risks are predictable and/or controllable by observance of standard safety precautions.
