If you have a passion for history, education, or public speaking, we hope you will explore working at Mordecai Historic Park. This position will guide tours of historic buildings including one of the oldest houses in Raleigh and President Johnson's birthplace, lead education programs, and assist with special events from lectures to large scale festivals. Staff will be responsible for working in the giftshop, conducting research, and collaborating on new tours and exhibits.
Applicants should be comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds and should feel comfortable leading guided tours and field trips once training is completed. Applicants should be customer service focused. A degree in history is preferred. This position is for up to 19 hours a week. Applicants should have some weekday, weekend, and occasional evening availability.About the company
