  Job Description

  The Material Master Data leader has the leadership over the creation and maintenance of all North American Equipment Material Master Data. The individual in this position is responsible for ensuring high Material Master Data quality and does everything necessary to ensure the Material Master Data creation and change processes is controlled. In the event of non-compliance with the standardized processes, the individual initiates the necessary corrective measures and follows through to make sure the issue is fully resolved. This individual works with others in a similar role around the globe to ensure that the Material Master Data and practices developed are cascaded around the globe, and that regional activity agrees with the developed or existing, processes and practices. The individual in this position also participates in Material Master Data and business process projects to optimize the process and the organization in the areas involving Material Master Data beyond Equipment.

  
  

  Responsibilities

  • Lead the NAM Equipment Material Master Data Group, including Material Master Data creation, extension, change and maintenance of all NAM Equipment Material Master Data, across our various ERP systems within the region.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Material Master Data process for the Equipment Business is in place and effective.
  • Pro-actively help to improve efficiency of Material Master Data handling
  • Regularly control and monitor quality of Material Master Data
  • Maintain tools to ensure best quality of Material Master Data
  • Cross-departmental cooperation with the other regional Material Master Data, Costing, and Pricing leaders
  • Report on performance and relevant KPI’s involving Equipment related Materials and SKUs
  • Ensures a functioning Equipment Material Master Data organization and a competent, supportive and motivated team
  • Work closely with the global Supply Chain Master Data business process team
  • Sponsor, support, participate in or monitor projects to optimize the Equipment Material Master Data origination and/or its processes
  • Promote the desired behaviors related to Equipment Material Master Data governance around the globe.
  • Collaboration with other business areas

  Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • At least 7 years of overall work experience ideally in an equipment or device manufacturing company of similar size and scale. Preferably 3 or more years’ experience in a similar role.
  • At least 5 years of SAP experience with demonstrated involvement in the Material Master Data area
    • No SAP development skills required
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with proven ability to influence especially in business process design and execution
  • Demonstrated communication skills at all levels in an organization
  • Strong collaborator with other groups including groups around the globe
  • Demonstrated understanding of operations in a manufacturing or assembly setting
