      This position provides various nutrition services related functions according to professional standards and Logan Health policies and procedures. As applicable to assigned area(s), this position performs preparation and delivery of food, barista, dishwashing, etc.

      Logan Health is looking for a Nutrition Services Technician to join our team. In this role, you will help support daily food service operations while providing excellent service to patients, visitors, and staff.

      What You’ll Do

      • Practice safe food handling and sanitation procedures in all assigned duties
      • Keep work areas clean, organized, and ready for service
      • Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and team members
      • Operate, assemble, and set up equipment in accordance with sanitation standards
      • Maintain and stock service areas according to department protocols
      • Accurately follow recipes, production sheets, and daily prep assignments
      • Record food and equipment temperatures according to department procedures
      • Support patient meal service by obtaining meal selections, preparing and/or delivering trays, and providing compassionate service as needed
      • Help ensure smooth daily operations within Nutrition Services
      • Maintain regular and reliable attendance as scheduled by department leadership

      What You’ll Bring

      • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established procedures
      • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in healthcare or food service preferred
      • Basic computer skills required
      • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team
      • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
      • Critical thinking skills and a self-motivated approach to work
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
      • Commitment to teamwork and maintaining confidentiality as needed
      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional software as needed

      Preferred Qualifications

      Depending on assigned area, preferred qualifications may include:

      • ServSafe certification or Food Handler’s certification
      • Knowledge of food preparation and presentation
      • Previous barista experience
      • Strong customer service skills
      • Experience understanding and following recipes
      • Additional Logan Health training and/or certifications as applicable to assigned area(s)
