      Main duties of the job

      Working effectively within the team you will manage a caseload and undertake assessments and reviews. Using a Care Programme Approach, you will provide a care coordinator role. The role will require you to be a reflective practitioner, eager to work collaboratively to contribute to the delivery of an effective, dynamic, specialist Occupational Therapy service.

      You will provide evidence based interventions working with people from initial assessment through to discharge. This can include transferring care to other providers such as hospitals or CMHTs whilst working with a variety of agencies in the Offender Health Pathway. You will help to rehabilitate and support people to live decent and purposeful lives as members of the community.

      You will focus on the importance of Occupation in a person's recovery and wellbeing. Also focusing on the importance of routine and activities of daily living, assessing how well an individual is functioning in these areas. Sensory integration will be used as a means of understanding, assessing and treating people. You will understand the use of "dark occupations" and working with people to develop more positive self-preserving strategies.
