If so, Paladin Security may be the right fit for you! We are looking for friendly and confident Security Professionals to work at a variety of sites in Calgary and surrounding areas. Security Guards can work in different settings - this includes retail centers, high and low rise office buildings, as well as other commercial and residential sites. We are seeking reliable On-Call Security Guards to provide short-notice coverage at various sites in Calgary and surrounding areas. This role requires flexibility, prompt response times, and professionalism.

  
  

  Key Responsibilities

  • Remain available and responsive during assigned 12-hour on-call shifts
  • Answer calls and respond within 10 minutes
  • Deploy to assigned sites and arrive within 1 hour
  • Provide exceptional customer service and assistance and sustain effective relationships with clients and patrons
  • Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches, and note any concerns
  • Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
  • De-escalate crisis situations, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including police, fire and paramedic resources
  • Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers
  • Write clear and detailed reports including incident, emergency, liability and day to day reports
  • Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person(s)
  • Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities
  • Handle Lost & Found items and inquire

  Pay & Schedule

  • Guaranteed minimum: $120 per on-call shift ($10/hr for 12 hours)
  • Site rate paid when deployed
  • Bi-weekly pay
  • 4 on / 4 off averaging arrangement
  • 19:00-07:00

  Requirements

  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel within Calgary and surrounding areas
  • Must accept deployments during on-call shifts
  • Minimum 8 hours’ notice required to book off shifts
  • Valid Security Licence

  Education Requirements (All)

  High School Diploma/GED
