What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collect, manage, and analyze data on patients diagnosed with cancer
- Abstract, code, and report cancer statistics to ensure data quality
- Maintain a comprehensive cancer database in accordance with American College of Surgeons requirements
- Meet productivity goals related to data abstraction and reporting
- Assist with annual follow-up of patients in the database and case finding
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree (Required)
- Oncology Data Specialist Certification with the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) (Required)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Database Management (Preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Tumor Registry (Preferred)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with cancer treatment data entry and management
- Familiarity with CTR (Certified Tumor Registrar) standards
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in oncology
