What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collect, manage, and analyze data on patients diagnosed with cancer
- Abstract, code, and report cancer statistics while ensuring data accuracy and quality
- Maintain a cancer database in compliance with American College of Surgeons requirements
- Assist with annual patient follow-ups and case finding
- Meet productivity goals for abstracting an average of 3 cases per day
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate’s level degree required
- Certification as an Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) required
- Minimum of 2 years of oncology data experience required
- Previous remote working experience required
- Strong teamwork and communication skills required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced skills in abstracting, coding, and reporting statistics in oncology
- Experience with cancer administration and case finding
