Job Description

- Regularly review current and forecast weather conditions, remaning alert for weather conditions that are not as reported or forecast.
- Prior to commencement of daily flight operations, conduct weather and operations impact conference call with the Dispatchers and the assigned Chief / Assistant Chief on duty.
- Alert company aircraft of any incoming hazardous conditions and hold flights outside of Vero Beach, divert to alternative airports, and/or recall flights back to ramp as conditions dictate.
- Prior to flight release, review and verify each student pilot’s (pre-private) personal documentation, endorsements, and planning to determine compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Remain alert at all times over the functions of the Operations Command Center.
- Maintain overview of all dispatched flights. Follow Emergency Response (ERP) procedures for any operational contingencies and non-standard events.
- Monitor local ATC, CTAF, and company frequencies to monitor training activity.
- Participate in the Quality Management System (QMS) activities and adhere to the processes related to accomplishing the site's QMS goals.
- High school diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency
- FAA Private Pilot with Instrument Rating required (ASEL and/or AMEL) OR holds FAA Dispatcher certificate
- Current FAA Certified Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI-A) desirabe but not essential
- The legal right to live and work in the United States

Shift Pattern: Monday-Wedneday 1000-1800, Saturday-Sunday 0630-1500
Thursday Friday - OFF days
