Amazon Devices represents one of our highest growth business units. This position provides an exciting opportunity to support Amazon Devices availability for consumers in the retailer stores across Australia. This position will be based out of the warehouse that we open in Australia. The primary responsibility of this role is to drive end-to-end warehouse operations and retail distribution for our Devices portfolio across Australia's offline channel network. The role also involves managing inbound operations into Australia and distributing it to the online fulfillment center network basis the weeks of cover. Additionally, the role involves processing of sellable/overstock returns and buyback from channels and issuing credit notes to retailers.
A successful candidate requires strong analytical capabilities and cross-functional collaboration with account management, business development, instock and operations teams to maintain optimal stock levels at fulfillment center and retail locations. This role demands proficiency with inventory management systems and platforms, including capacity planning for both standard operations and peak periods. The role will be needed to manage warehouse operations across multiple regions.
Key job responsibilities
• Monitor factory shipments and ensure on-time warehouse delivery
• Plan and optimize warehouse capacity utilization
• Monitor weeks of cover in the online channel and move inventory to maintain the same.
• Execute timely shipment processing and distribution to retail stores and distribution centers
• Manage sellable returns, overstock, and retailer buyback programs
• Coordinate new product launches to meet street date requirements
• Conduct quarterly inventory audits and maintain accuracy standards- 6+ years of hands-on experience in warehouse and transportation operations and management
- Background in a comparable role within retail, e-commerce, consumer electronics, or FMCG sectors
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Access required- Master's degree or PG diploma in Operations Management
- Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver critical projects and business objectives
- Self-directed with adaptability to changing priorities
- Strong blend of strategic vision and hands-on team leadership capabilities
- Data-driven problem solver with demonstrated success in implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Detail-oriented with the ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities
- Ready to dive into work and take ownership of outcomes
