Job Description
- Req#: 1851
- Sand, prepare, and paint cranes and components.
- Prep and apply decals to cranes and components.
- Keep paint and supply inventory to inform service team when orders need to be placed.
- Help to rig, load, and unload crane parts when needed as part of a crew on the yard.
- Perform all duties in both shop and field environments.
- Effectively communicate job status to Service Manager and office personnel.
- Works in an efficient manner in the shop.
- Use safe working practices and adhere to all safety initiatives.
- High School diploma or GED
- 1+ years’ industrial painting experience, preferably in the crane industry
- Basic reading / writing ability to read and interpret manufacturing orders and material requirements and to report production.
- Moderate ability to read measuring instruments not limited to but including tape measure, mil.
- Moderate ability to work in a team environment, with a good work ethic and good attendance.
- Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and fit for duty test.
- Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance
- Ability to work overtime (extended weekdays and weekends) to support production demands.
- Ability to wear a respirator while painting.

Description
Purpose
The Painter is responsible for ensuring adequate, high-quality completion of our paint operations on our cranes and crane components. They will prepare surfaces of heavy industrial structural steel equipment to be painted, paint components, and maintain paint equipment.

Must be able to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence and memos and the ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
