As an Assistant Teacher at the Salem YMCA, you will help teachers by aiding in creating a warm and nurturing environment for children and families, implement age appropriate curriculum as directed, and guide children through their daily activities encouraging learning and development. We are seeking proactive individuals who enjoy spending time with children from ages 0-5. On a regular day you will help engage children in classroom activities, play-based learning, and assist in transitioning children to creative learning spaces or outdoor activities. At the Y, you will provide quality care inside and outside of the classroom while meeting state standards and maintaining the health and safety of the participants in our program.
