What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Follow up with insurance payers on claim resolution in a timely manner
- Document all actions taken on the patient's account within the patient accounting system
- Process credit balances as assigned
- Understand payer contracts and member co-pay and eligibility requirements
- Process account correspondence
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of medical insurance billing/follow-up experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with medical billing software
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Certification in medical billing or related field
